Mesud 7th in the final in Belgrade

Mesud Pezer qualified to the final of the shot put at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade with a throw of 20.13m that came in the 3rd round of the qualification round this morning. This gave him the 7th best throw going into the final.

Tonight a very strong final took place here at the arena and Mesud equaled his indoor personal best with a throw of 20.37m that came in the first round of the final. Mesud also had three more throws that measured 20.26m, 20.16m and 20.30m.

This final is the second one for Mesud as he also made the outdoor final in the European Championships in Amsterdam last summer. There he ended up 12th in the final with a throw that measured 19.49m after having 19.72m in the qualification round. This is of course a big development for Mesud and a big improvement on the big scene.

We congratulate Mesud on a great meet.
