Lukas Kvist throws over 70 meters
September 12, 2016
Lukas Kvist competed in his last meet of the season in Helsingborg yesterday. Lukas threw the javelin 70.35 m and improved his previous best from earlier this season of 66.21 m.
Before this season Lukas had a PB of 63.89 m. Lukas has been working very hard and has trained on and off with the GT Group as he lives in Helsingborg. Then he has gone with us for the last three years to Chula Vista in California on our annual training camp. Through the years he has had many problems with injuries. But, since July he has been getting better and better and threw two meets over 66 m and two others over 64 m. But, he felt he could do more as he had thrown over 70 m in practice and yesterday he hit it.
We all congratulate Lukas on his big throw.
