Mesud to final in Amsterdam

Mesud Pezer the 22 year old from Bosnia-Herzegovina made it through to the final in this morning qualification round in the European Championships in Amsterdam. Mesud had 19.15m in the first throw 19.72m in the second throw and 19.67m in the third throw. He ended up in 12th position out of 29 throwers and his 19.72m was enough.

This is Mesud’s first international senior championship and it is big for him to make it through in his first time around. Mesud had a hard time with the rough circle and did not get the speed or spin as he wanted, but it was good enough.

Now, the young man prepares for the final tomorrow and we wish him all the best.

Leif Arrhenius did not have a good day and his technique did not work in his three attempts so his final result was 18.64m.
