Finnkampen

Fanny Roos with a new PB in discus on day one in Finnkampen, the meet between Sweden and Finland. The meet was in Stockholm this weekend and Fanny threw 56.40m and got second. Then she won the shot on day two with an 18.00m throw that was under her capacity as she threw a meter farther in practice this week but it will come next time.

Daniel Ståhl came back after his bad meet in Poland at Team EC where he missed all of his throws. To follow up on getting a little groin sprain that made him cancel the Göteborg FGP Meet last week. Today he was back with a winning throw of 69.42m and even had a huge foul between 71-72m. Great capacity but little unstable, Daniel is back on track.

As Fanny, Niklas Arrhenius doubled up and had 17.94m in the shot that gave him 4th place on day one. Today he felt better and had 61.05m in the discus that gave him 3rd place in the meet and a sweep for the Swedish team in that event. Great job for Niklas that keep on even he is 37 years old. He just loves to train and compete, so why not. I am proud of him, he is a good role model.

Simon Pettersson was 2nd in the discus behind Daniel with one of his best meets of the year. 63.29m is fine and Simon his fighting to get back to his former feeling after a tough injury in the groin that kept him out for a while. Positive today and more to be expected from him soon.

Sweden won the meet both for men and women.
