Marcus wins in Leiria with a new PB

Marcus Thomsen competed today at the European Throwing Cup U23 shot put meet and dominated the whole competition. Marcus started with a foul on the 1st round, but after that had great series and meet - 19.40m, 19.61m, 19.51m, 19.48m and 19.39m. All legal throws would have been enough for the win today. It is Marcus first year commpeting U23 class and he won it here in Leiria, equalling the championships all-time record. So super day for the young Norwegian.

Mesud Pezer won a bronze medal at men´s competition with 20.71m throw.

Global Throwing had a super successful weekend here in Leiria - we had 6 athletes here competing and we got 5 medals - Daniel and Marcus won, Simon got Silver, Jakob and Mesud got Bronze and on top of that Fanny got 4th position. Congratulations!
