The dual meet between Sweden and Finland is usually the last meet of the year for lots of athletes in these countries. It was the same for some or most of the Swedish athletes that belong to the GT Group.

After a huge disappointment in Brussels where Daniel Stahl got 7th and just did not get it to fit and totally lost his timing he came back and finished up his season great at Finnkampen. Daniel threw 67.37m in the first round of the meet and broke the meet record. It was his last meet of the season that has been his best so far with amazing long throws during the whole season.

Simon Pettersson competed also in the meet and got second behind Daniel with 61.82m. He will do one or two Castoramas before he hangs it up for this year. Otherwise this season has been outstanding for Simon.

Fanny Roos was the third Swedish athlete to compete in the meet this weekend and she won the shot with 17.58m as expected and got valuable points in the discus with a 3rd place finish of 50.90m. Fanny will do some Castorama as well before stopping this season. She has as well had a great season and should be very happy with her development this year.

Niklas and Leif Arrhenius were supposed to compete as well in this meet but could not do due to working and family situations. Both of them will soon do some Castorama meets at home in Provo as well.
