The Swedish Championships

The Swedish Championships were held in Helsingborg, Sweden this weekend. The weather was good for the most part and some very good results were produced.

The best event was the discus throw for men and as expected Daniel Ståhl won the meet with a great throw of 67.80m. That was Daniel´s 8th best performance of the year.

Simon Pettersson was second and won his first medal in the particular meet and was very close to his PB and ended up with a great performance of 64.84m.

Niklas Arrhenius that flew in the day before from USA was 4th with 60.61m.

Jakob Gardenkarns did great and ended his season with a new PB of 58.01m and got 5th place in the best discus final ever at the Swedish Championships. Outstanding performance for Jakob and shows how much he has developed lately after training really hard for the last few weeks.

Fanny Roos won as expected the shot for women with 17.64m and was little off technically. Then she thre three times over her PB in the discus and got second with 53.71m.

In the shot put for men Leif Arrhenius that also came from USA for the meet won with 18.90m and Niklas was second with 18.32m.

Overall six medals for the GT Group and two PB´s as well as some world class performances in the discus for men. Very good.
