Daniel 67.64m in the qualification

World Championships in London started and discus throwers had their qualification on the first night. Automatic quaification line was set on 64.50m and 6 athletes achieved that.

Daniel Stahl started out with 61.83m throw but hit the big one in the second 67.64m. This was the best result of the night. And just as a coincidence equals to Vésteinns Icelandic National Record.

Simon Pettersson had a meet of his life, when he started out with modest 60.43m and foul in 2nd and then hit 63.69m in the 3rd round, giving him 3rd position in the B qualification group and 7th overall. Just amazing achievement for Simon and we are all superhappy for him.

Niklas Arrhenius 58.91m and that gave him 24th position.

"How to Become an Olympic Champion" is a video series by coach Vésteinn Hafsteinsson on example of Discus Throw legend Gerd Kanter. The first video series puts focus on Olympic Lifting for Throwers. Click here for more info.
