Coaching corner

Coach Hafsteinsson has published an educational platform called ELITE DISCUS. The program involves a combination of lecture sessions and practical skills development on the track and in the weight room on example of his international training group. Our discus throw programmes are ideal for throwing coaches and athletes at all competitive levels.

Mesud Pezer from Bosnia Herzegovina is a 24 year old shot putter that had his best international success this winter when he got 5th in the World Indoor Championships with a new Bosnian Indoor Record of 21.15m. Mesud has a PB of 21.40m outdoors and holds the Bosnian Outdoor Record as well.

ANALYSIS: Daniel Ståhl threw 2018 world leading throw 69.72m at the National Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The analysis of his world leading mark is done by coach Vesteinn Hafsteinsson in a simple way in 12 pictures that are taken from the film of the throw.

On 13th September, Discus Throw Legend Gerd Kanter had the last competition in his career. Kanter’s farewell competition was preceded by a special Gerd Kanter Legacy Conference at the Tallinn Film Festival which elicited an excellent response among the attendees.

This is a video course we have been working on for some time now. Our goal is to publish this material in the beginning of 2017. First topic is about Strength Training (Olympic Weight Lifting) and we have over 35 video clips and more than 3,5 hours of material.
