A great meet in Bedford

Niklas, Gerd, Märt.JPG

Gerd, Märt and Niklas competed in Bedford, GBR last night. Gerd won the meet with a throw of 67.31m. Märt had 64.65m and Niklas 61.60m. Nav threw also and after a week of sickness she did ok with 48.53m after three meets in a row over 50m.

This meet is called BIG or Bedford International Games and is a small well organized meet with lots of events.

The participation of the guys was a part of a clinic that Shaun Pickering put on for the young upcoming throwers in GBR with me and Don Babbitt lecturing and helping out the athletes as well as their coaches.

The conditions in the meet yesterday were tailwind and in relation to that the guys did very well and Gerd and Märt had also competed in the DL in London the day before. Niklas had his second best meet this year and showed good consistency as well.

This meet was fun and good preparation for the guys on some technical points we are working on for the upcoming meets. Gerd and Märt are going to Zurich tomorrow and will compete there in the DL meet on Friday. Niklas is going to Sweden at the same time and has his championship in Falun, Sweden on Thursday to Saturday and is going for both events there.

Nav is ready for a PR and hopefully she will throw far again soon being unlucky this week with sickness.

All of our throwers are in good shape and ready for good performances.
