Märt Israel had his best meet ever in Kohila on the 25 June when he threw the discus 64.83m in no wind. Last night he topped that result in a meet in Sollentuna in Sweden and threw 65.44m.
It looks like Märt is developing to be one of the best throwers in the world right now with these results. His level right now in training and meets is much higher than before. His mental capacity is super good, his technique is better and then the physical shape is on top as well.
Märt has been working very hard to reach this level for many years and really deserves this success. The next step for him is to throw a PR and then make it in the final in the European Championship in Barcelona.
Niklas Arrhenius had 60.00m last night that is ok but about 2.5m under his potential right now. Niklas is working hard on getting back after long injury period and will throw much farther in the shot and discus soon.
Both athletes will compete tomorrow in Bottnaryd, Sweden.
The clips are the 60.00m throw from Niklas and 64.19m throw from Märt.
